Pendulum was formed in 2002 by three musicians from Western Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds. Pendulum’s mission has always been to pull together their production resources, ideas and influences from various styles of music, to create a new sound that they felt was missing from dance… music! The individual members behind Pendulum had been active in Perth’s live music scene for several years: producer / vocalist / keyboardist Rob Swire and producer / bassist Gareth McGrillen played together in the acclaimed Perth band Xygen, while Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding was a veteran of the Perth DJ scene.

For two decades, Calyx & TeeBee have forged an unprecedented path at the forefront of Drum and Bass. They had already amassed an astounding back-catalogue spanning all of the genre’s seminal labels, before they came together to form a duo 15 years ago.
In the years that followed, Calyx & TeeBee reached new heights with chart-topping singles, prestigious awards, a revered BBC Essential Mix and their acclaimed LPs: ‘Anatomy’, ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘1X1’.
By 2020, Calyx & TeeBee had built up yet another incredible body of work and once again they returned with new beats – and a brand new concept.
The concept? ‘Plates.’ Taking it back to the days of acetate, ‘Plates’ is a series of releases themed around original dub-plate culture, both musically and aesthetically – culminating in an album of the same name.
This has proved to be yet another welcome return from one of the most revered double acts in drum & bass. Having released a spectacular run of individual ‘Plates’ tracks which have garnered huge support across the entire spectrum of DnB’s biggest names, the duo are about to drop the full LP. Enthusing the concept, Calyx & TeeBee say: “Having released 2 albums and countless singles since we joined RAM Records, we’re excited to be nearing the full release of our third LP and we’ve loved switching things up with our ‘Plates’ series. It takes us back to our DnB roots – both musically, and in terms of how the music disseminates to our peers, fans and ravers”.

Remedy
If you mix high energy and a whole lot of soul, what do you get? Remedy. Growing up in Toronto, Remedy quickly fell in love with the underground rave scene. After attending her first jungle party, she knew she was here to stay. Outfitted with a set of Tech 12’s and a modest vinyl collection, Remedy was determined to teach herself how to mix in 2009. She relied on her classical music training and her eclectic range of musical influences to guide and inspire her as she learned to command the decks. Remedy has proven herself to be one of the most requested and hardest working DJ’s in the Canadian Bass scene. She has played alongside artists such as Pendulum, Ulterior Motive, Netsky, Phibes, Koven, Shabba D, Harry Shotta, Critical Impact Nu:Tone, Logistics, Muzz, Ray Keith, Kenny Ken, Mampi Swift and MC Funsta to name a few. She’s got a rep for her deep crate, coining the title “Queen of the B Sides” by her peers. With an ear for melodic mixes and complicated break beats, Remedy weaves a narrative through every set.
